Jazzie's Music Recommendations: Carla Bruni

I bought Carla Bruni's new album "No Promises" today. Her music is really
nice. It's music to lean back, relax and unwind. Changing between slow blues and more
vivid songs, Carla Bruni's voice is it what makes her music special. Her voice is a little
hoarse, but soft. All in all the album is best to be heard when sitting on your sofa, drinking
tea and watching a cloudy sky with little sun-patches inbetween and the whole day is
stretching out in front of you to be filled with: relaxing.
I love this kind of music recently.
What I think is an interesting idea, too, is that she took poems from popular authors (like Emily Dickinson) and made songs out of them. The texts and information about the authors is given in a booklet.
The album design is also very neat:

I am trying to give my blog a better structure by creating categories. This one is the first. It will be followed by some more like Book Recommendations and reports of some of my experiences in China.

Since i got the opportunity to hear it I pretty much think the same way about her...

And the album-artwork. Some music-labels could take an example of her... if you can write it that way?! but you know what I mean! :)

Keep on blogging!
