Merry Christmas everyone!

Why hate Christmas

You have to spend a lot of time in sticky, hot malls to find things for everybody

Everything is ridiculously expensive, beginning from the smallest mistletoe (10 Euro) to sending packages to friends living in other countries (8 Euro for a normal big letter to USA)

It is so much work to wrap everything up, make christmas cards, write christmas cards, prepare the meals, put up the christmas-tree, dress up nicely…

You wait for it so long and then it’s over after three days and you have to pack all the decoration away again

It never actually snows although you always hope for it

Why love Christmas

Seeing the expression on the people’s faces when they open the gifts you bought or made for them (making gifts feels as good as getting them)

The atmosphere on christmas-markets, the smell, the candy, the hot beverages…

You can sing christmas-carols without feeling stupid (have you ever felt like singing jingle bells in summer and then you realize that people look at you in a weird way when you actually do it? Uhm, probably I am the only one who’s like that…^^”)

You can also listen to christmas-carols like Last Christmas, Wonderful dream, White Christmas etc. etc.

They show the best movies on TV

Of course, the gifts (how long have you been waiting for me to write this line…? Haha^^)

You feel warm inside as all your friends think of you, sending you mails or letters or calling you wishing you a merry christmas

You can wear stupid Santa Clause hats outside without feeling weird about it because others do the same

Even strangers wish you a merry christmas

Buying and putting up a christmas-tree is so nice

The food…

The cookies

The chocolate…(uhm, I got a little carried away)

The feeling when you get up and everything outside is white

Sitting together with your family

Did I mention the gifts…?
