Chinese lessons and some other things

Not that I didn’t have enough time to write, I was just being lazy ^^”
My first week as a university student was pretty good and interesting. I have now 12 hours chinese per week and that means, 6 lessons with our teacher, writing, practicing and stuff and 6 lessons in the language lab (where you get headphones and try to speak what you hear). It’s really fun! Imagine 20 people in a room, everybody saying aloud: »a, ai, ang, i…« LOL But it’s a good practice and soon we’ll be able to talk a little.
Well and then I went to a Proseminar which is like a lesson in school where you learn something about a certain subject, make presentations and then, at the end, write an exam. I thought I would do the one about chinese literature of the 20th century but the text about literature theory we had to work on at home was SO boring…I guess I’ll take the other one about provinces in China.

My weekend was pretty normal, I went to our holiday house with my parents, hung around, went shopping and stuff. When we came home tonight, I heard on my answering machine that my friends met at Jamie’s house on saturday. Wahoo ~ they've only got time when I’m not there... Murphy's law again...>< But that’s okay, I’ll see them next saturday in school, where we have a meeting with every ex-student who wants to come and some teachers. It’s gonna be fun I guess!!

Friday I began reading ›the ring‹, the japanese original (of course in german), which I got from the library in my institute. I always thought it was really really scary (from what others told me), but actually it is really exciting and not that scary. Actually I wanted to find some books from chinese authors but I couldn’t find any. Uhm, well, who cares…

What I’ve learned today:
To write the chinese word for »older sister« ^^

Quotation of the week:
»The one who doesn’t think in his own way doesn’t think at all«.

Oskar Wilde, britsh writer

Favourite song this week:
›Zombie‹ by ›The Cranberries‹

It stays in your head for ages…
